It’s March 9, and the Barbie doll debuted on this day in 1959. We’re mentioning this today because many children and adults believe Barbie is a symbol of a woman who can do anything. It’s appropriate that Barbie debuted the day after International Women’s Day, which is celebrated every year on March 8. We believe that girls and women can do anything they put their minds to, and so we don’t believe in gender stereotypes for our homeschool courses.
