It’s September 9, and California became a state on this date in 1850.  Sometimes we get asked if our high school correspondence courses and online high school courses are University of California-approved, and at this moment they are not.  That does not mean our courses are not rigorous or do not prepare students for college.  It simply means that our courses have not been approved by the University of California system at this time.  We are hopeful they will be approved in the future so that we can better serve residents of the Golden State.  As always, we encourage you to check with your state to see if it has any special policies regarding our homeschool courses.  Although we are accredited by three different accrediting bodies, states and schools have rights to incorporate their own policies.  Thank you for understanding and for making us your distance education high school if you live in California or any of the other 49 states.
