It’s January 9, and Connecticut became a state on this date in 1788.  Connecticut has a few nicknames but one of them is The Land of Steady Habits.  That unusual nickname got us thinking about steady habits and study habits, and it’s important for American School students to cultivate both types of habits.  We know that students learn differently and that there is no one size fits all approach when it comes to study habits.  American School allows homeschooling students in our accredited middle school program, accredited high school program and independent study program to study wherever and whenever they want.  This approach gives our students the best chance to succeed.  No matter where or when you decide to study, however, it is important that you do you work on a steady basis.  It is best that you do not wait until your course deadlines to do all of your work, nor is it a good idea to rush through your course in the first weeks of your enrollment just to get it done.  Developing steady habits and study habits will help you succeed as an American School student if you live in Connecticut or any of the other 49 states.  Take the first step and enroll today!
