It’s February 10, and on this date in 1996 a computer known as Deep Blue defeated chess grandmaster Garry Kasparov for the first time. This event got us thinking about computers and what they can do. Nearly 30 years ago, it was a big deal when a computer defeated a human being in chess. These days, we know computers and similar forms of technology can sometimes replace the thoughts of human begins through artificial intelligence, commonly abbreviated AI. Homeschool students in our accredited middle school program or accredited high school program should be very careful when using AI to complete their accredited middle school courses or accredited high school courses. All American School students must do their own work, and all work must be original and be generated by the students’ minds. Additional information may be found in the student handbook, which students should consult often and follow at all times. Thank you for your cooperation.
