It’s February 26, and Grand Canyon National Park was established on this date in 1919. While the Grand Canyon is one of the most majestic natural wonders in the United States, today’s anniversary also got us thinking about the immense size of some real and metaphorical canyons and how they might be difficult for people to cross. The Grand Canyon covers more than a million acres, and perhaps you feel like you need to complete a million credits to earn a high school diploma at home, especially if you are older than the traditional high school student. That is not the case! American School’s accredited high school program consists of 20 units of credit. That works out to 5 units of credit per year, and we accept transfer credits from other accredited schools. On top of all that, we allow students to work at their own pace, which means you may finish high school at home and earn an adult high school diploma in less time than you think. Take the first step and enroll today!
