It’s July 3, and Idaho became a state on this date in 1890. Idaho might be best known for potatoes, but its official nickname is the Gem State. That nickname reminded us how we feel about our students. Many of our students haven’t had the easiest time completing their middle school courses or high school courses elsewhere. Perhaps some even dropped out of high school and now need to earn an adult high school diploma. We believe that all students are gems and have the potential for greatness.
