It’s December 11, and Indiana became a state on this date in 1816.  Indiana is an important state to those of us who work at American School because many of us call the Hoosier State home.  American School is located in Lansing, Illinois, a far south suburb of Chicago that is right on the border of Illinois and Indiana.  Although we are proud to call Illinois home, we are also proud to have many Indiana residents working to serve our students.  The anniversary of Indiana statehood got us thinking about how American School serves students close to our offices as well as those students who live thousands of miles away.  No matter where our students complete their homeschool courses from American School, all of them follow guidelines put forth by our accrediting bodies and by the Illinois State Board of Education.  These guidelines ensure that completing middle school at home or high school at home with us is a legitimate and valid educational experience for our students.  We’d be happy to serve you if you live in Indiana or any of the other 49 states so enroll today and make us your distance education middle school or distance education high school.  You’ll be glad you did!
