Today’s Anniversary: Lynne Cox

It’s August 7, and on this day in 1987 Lynne Cox swam across the Bering Strait from the United States to what was then known as the Soviet Union.  The event contributed in a small way to the end of the Cold War between the two nations, and its anniversary seems like an appropriate time to feature our Russian 1 and Russian 2 courses.  They are online high school courses we offer through a partnership with Rosetta Stone.  Many high school diploma programs require students take 2 years of a world language, and we have Russian among our options to fulfill this requirement.  Make us your distance education high school and enroll today!
