It’s February 6, and Massachusetts became a state on this date in 1788. Massachusetts is a special state to us at American School because we were founded in Massachusetts in 1897. Although we called Massachusetts home for just a few years before moving to Illinois, we still have strong ties to the state. Our charter is from Massachusetts, and we were incorporated there too. When we had our base of operations in Massachusetts, no one could’ve envisioned that we’d become a leading distance education middle school and distance education high school, serving more than 3 million students who elect to take our accredited middle school courses and accredited high school courses for a variety of reasons, but here we are.
