It’s April 4, and Microsoft was founded on this date in 1975. If you read yesterday’s blog, you know that we discussed technology as it relates to our online middle school courses and online high school courses. On the occasion of the anniversary of Microsoft, which is perhaps best known for its Microsoft Word word processing software, we will discuss technology as it relates to our middle school correspondence courses and high school correspondence courses. Most of our paper-based middle school courses and paper-based high school courses are self-contained and come with a textbook and study guide. While those books may contain references to additional information on a computer, it is possible for students to successfully complete paper-based courses without ever turning on an electronic device. Sometimes students would prefer to type longer essays using a word processing program, and in those situations we ask that you contact your instructor who will advise you if doing so is permitted. Thank you for your cooperation and for allowing us to serve you!
