It’s August 10, and Missouri became a state on this date in 1821. Missouri is known as the Show Me State and so today’s blog is going to talk about showing work in math courses. When students have a math course among their paper-based middle school courses or paper-based high school courses, it is important they show all their work as they solve problems. This way we can give them partial credit if they demonstrated a good understanding of particular concepts but made slight errors along the way. If students simply put down an incorrect answer but do not show work, we have no way of knowing their thought processes and must deduct the full amount of the question. Therefore, we ask that students show all their work on their math exams. Thank you for understanding and thank you for making us your distance education middle school or distance education high school.
