It’s November 8, and Montana became a state on this date in 1889. Montana is the home of Christopher Paolini, best-selling author of the Eragon series and many other novels, and we are proud to count Christopher among our graduates. Many years ago Christopher visited the School and spoke with several staff members, and we are grateful that he took time out of his busy schedule to see us. During Christopher’s time as an American School student we only offered a correspondence high school diploma program made up entirely of paper-based high school courses. Just as Christopher’s writing career has evolved, so has his distance education high school.
