It’s December 12, and Pennsylvania became a state on this day in 1787.  It’s a good opportunity to remind you that states can have unique rules and regulations when it comes to homeschooling, and Pennsylvania is one of them.  Whether you live in Pennsylvania or not, we recommend checking with your state board of education before enrolling in our accredited middle school program or accredited high school program.  Although we are accredited by three major accrediting bodies, sometimes states will not recognize our accredited high school diploma if you plan to use state money to attend one of your state’s public colleges or universities after you earn a high school diploma at home with us.  We always do our best to work with states so that our graduates are given the same opportunities as graduates of traditional schools, and we always do our best to inform our students of these possibilities before they enroll.  Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
