It’s October 15, and the Gregorian Calendar began being adopted on this day in 1582.  Back then there were many different calendars, but Pope Gregory XIII helped clarify things by introducing the calendar that bears his name.  Because people had different understandings of just how long a year was, it was determined that 10 days needed to be skipped in October 1582 to get everyone on the same page.  Therefore, instead of October 5 following October 4, the calendar actually skipped ahead to October 15, and the rest is history.  Fortunately it’s much easier to figure out just how long you have to complete your online middle school courses, middle school correspondence courses, online high school courses or high school correspondence courses from American School.  Students in full-year programs or individual full-year courses have 12 months from the enrollment date to complete everything, while students who take individual semester courses have 6 months from the enrollment date to complete those courses.  Please be aware that no extensions are available.  Thank you for your cooperation and for being our student!
