It’s April 24, and the Library of Congress was established on this date in 1800. This anniversary got us thinking about libraries in general and what great resources they are for homeschool students. You can visit your local library to check out books to read for pleasure, or you can visit to find books to help with research papers in your online high school courses or paper-based high school courses. These days libraries have much more than books too. Most libraries contain periodicals, audio-visual materials and computers with monitored internet access which allow students to visit web sites in a safe environment. Visit your local library today and see everything it has to offer you. You’ll be glad you did!
