It’s April 13, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art opened in New York City on this date in 1870. The Met, as the museum is known, receives millions of visitors each year and contains works by some of the world’s finest artists. American School students can practice their art skills by taking our Drawing Animals or Drawing Landscapes courses. Both paper-based high school courses can be fine additions to an accredited high school program, and one or both of them can be taken separately as part of an independent study program. We can’t guarantee that your works will wind up in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, but we can guarantee that you will earn credit toward your accredited high school diploma after you complete one or both of those courses.
