It’s July 16, and the first parking meter was installed in Oklahoma City on this day in 1935. These days when people pay to park they often pay with a credit card, but for decades people had to put quarters or other coins into the meter for the right to park in a space for a certain length of time. When time on the meter was running low, people had to return to the meter to insert more coins and gain more time to park. This got us thinking about how American School does not nickel and dime homeschooling families when it comes to tuition.
