It’s June 23, and Christopher Sholes received a patent for the first typewriter on this date in 1868. If you don’t know what a typewriter is, you’re not alone. Typewriters have been replaced by computers, and if you choose to use a computer and word processing program to submit answers in our middle school correspondence courses or high school correspondence courses, we ask you to keep a couple things in mind.
