It’s July 27, and the United States Department of State was founded on this date in 1789 as the Department of Foreign Affairs. That original name didn’t last long, and by September 1789 the department which handles diplomatic relations with other countries had the name it is called today. Just as the Department of State works with other countries on a regular business, American School is proud to serve students in more than 65 countries around the world. We ask that students living overseas take online middle school courses or online high school courses rather than paper-based middle school courses or paper-based high school courses because of expensive shipping charges and customs delays in sending printed material overseas. Other than that, however, there are few restrictions for students living abroad. No matter where you live, we encourage you to get started by enrolling today. You’ll have your first course soon thereafter and be on your way toward earning your accredited high school diploma.
