It’s June 25, and Virginia became a state on this date in 1788. Virginia is sometimes known as the Mother of Presidents because eight Presidents of the United States were born there. It’s a coincidence that American School has had eight Presidents of our own during our 127-year history, though we’re 100% sure that not all of them were born in the same state. The role of American School Presidents has changed over the years, but each one has demonstrated the ability to put our students first. In some cases that has meant evolving from a school which offers only high school correspondence courses to a school that offers an accredited middle school program as well as online high school courses. We are grateful for the leadership shown by American School Presidents and you can feel confident using American School for your homeschool or independent study needs because of that leadership.
