It’s June 25, and Virginia became a state on this day in 1788. Over the years we’ve visited Virginia many times for homeschooling conventions but did not make such a visit in 2026. We hope to return in 2027 or shortly thereafter. A number of factors come into play when we decide which conventions to attend. These include location, projected attendance, previous experiences and availability of American School staff. We do our best to visit as many homeschool conventions as possible but we simply cannot attend all of them. We appreciate your understanding and are happy that students in Virginia and across the country have made us their distance education middle school or distance education high school.
