It’s September 24, and puppeteer Jim Henson was born on this date in 1936. He created the Muppets and until his death in 1990 was the voice of Kermit the Frog, Ernie, and many other iconic characters. Some of Jim Henson’s Muppets appeared on Sesame Street, which was and is an educational form of entertainment for children around the world. Sometimes people will contact us and ask if we offer homeschooling courses for students in elementary school who might be fans of Sesame Street, and unfortunately we do not offer homeschool courses for students in those grades. There was a time, however, when we could say the same thing about offering middle school at home, but now we are proud to offer a middle school program to go along with our long-standing high school diploma program. For right now, if your child watches some of Jim Henson’s Muppets on Sesame Street, we ask that you keep us in mind when your child is ready to begin middle school.
