It’s November 26, and John Harvard was born on this date in 1607. He died in 1638, but before he passed away he donated his library and a large amount of money to a newly-formed college in the Massachusetts Bay Colony. That college would later become Harvard University, the oldest college in the United States and one of the most famous schools in the world. Harvard is located in Cambridge, Massachusetts, which is not too far from where American School was founded in Boston.
