It’s April 26, and John James Audubon was born on this date in 1785. You might be familiar with the National Audubon Society which bears his name, and the society continues John James Audubon’s work and research about birds and their habitats. John James Audubon himself was very much into birds and painting, and so he attempted to draw every species of bird known to man during his lifetime. He even identified 25 new species of birds and drew many of them in his famous book, The Birds of America. If you’re interested in birds and other animals and have an artistic flair, you can combine those interests by taking our Art: Drawing Animals course. It would be a fine addition to your accredited high school program en route to earning a correspondence high school diploma or online high school diploma, or you may take it on an individual basis through our independent study high school program. We are happy to offer unique courses which benefit students in many ways, and we’re confident you’ll soar like an eagle after you enroll and become our student. Take flight and get started today!
