It’s March 7, and scientist Luther Burbank was born on this date in 1849. He was especially interested in botany and horticulture and developed more than 800 different types of plants over his lifetime, including species of daisies, plums, nectarines and potatoes. If you have an interest in horticulture, consider taking our Horticulture course. It would be a fine addition to your accredited high school program or independent study program, and we are proud to count it among our many paper-based high school courses. Horticulture is one of our newest courses and is an example of how our curriculum is always evolving. We enjoy adding interesting courses to our curriculum and seeing our students blossom into great learners and students as a result. Enroll today and watch yourself grow as an American School student!
