Today’s Birthday: Luther Burbank

It’s March 7, and scientist Luther Burbank was born on this date in 1849. He was especially interested in botany and horticulture and developed more than 800 different types of plants over his lifetime, including species of daisies, plums, nectarines and potatoes.
