It’s February 11, and inventor Thomas Edison was born on this date in 1847. He invented the phonograph, the motion picture camera and the lightbulb among thousands of other inventions, and so naturally his birthday got us thinking about inventions. Since American School has been in existence since 1897, you might think that we invented homeschooling, but most likely we didn’t. It’s hard to pinpoint for sure who invented homeschooling and when that invention happened, but it’s safe to say that we’re among the pioneers of the homeschool movement. These days we continue to reinvent ourselves by offering a robust lineup of online middle school courses and online high school courses to go along with our traditional middle school correspondence courses and high school correspondence courses. Try something new and enroll with American School today. You’ll be glad you did!
