It’s September 17, and the United States Constitution was signed on this date in 1787.   The National Constitution Center is located in Philadelphia just a short distance from Independence Hall, where the Constitution was signed.  The original Constitution is located in the National Archives in Washington, D.C. alongside the original Declaration of Independence and original Bill of Rights.  If you’re ever in one or both of these historic cities, we encourage you to visit the locations mentioned in today’s blog to learn more about the United States Constitution and other historic documents.  You will get a deeper appreciation of the material covered in your homeschool social studies courses which you can take individually for credit recovery or enrichment or collectively as part of an accredited middle school program or accredited high school program.  Thank you for being our student and be sure to check back here Thursday for our next blog post.
