It’s January 20, and today’s date is probably best-known as Inauguration Day. That’s because the 20th amendment to the United States Constitution calls for the President of the United States to be inaugurated on this date in the year following a presidential election year. There was no presidential election in 2022, and in fact we are right in the middle of the current presidential term, but today’s date got us thinking about inaugurations and presidential terms. As you know, a presidential term is four years long, and that is usually the length of time a typical student attends high school. It doesn’t have to be that way though. American School allows students to work at their own pace, so homeschooling students who enroll in our college preparatory high school diploma program or general high school diploma program can work as quickly or slowly as they want. In many cases our students complete their entire program in less time than their peers who attend traditional schools. While we can’t guarantee you’ll have all 20 units complete by the time of the next presidential inauguration in 2025, you can make good progress toward your goal if you start something new and enroll today. We would be glad to serve you!
