It’s May 20, and today is World Bee Day. It’s a day set aside each year to recognize the importance of bees and all the things bees do to keep the world’s ecosystem thriving. Many years ago when American School introduced its Spelling course, the study materials featured a smiling waving bee on the front in reference to spelling bees. That course still exists today, and it covers how to spell words, how to properly use prefixes and suffixes, how to decipher popular exceptions to general spelling rules and much more. Learning how to spell correctly is very important not only as you take accredited middle school courses and accredited high school courses with us but also in your everyday life and after you earn a high school diploma at home. Our instructors will correct spelling errors on your exams, but you should be making fewer and fewer of them as you progress in your studies. We look forward to spelling your name correctly on your accredited high school diploma one day, and the first part of that process is to enroll and become our student. We invite you to “bee” a part of the American School family and enroll today. We would “bee” happy to serve you!
