It’s June 8, and today is World Oceans Day. It’s a day set aside to learn more about oceans and how to sustain them so that future generations can get the same benefits from oceans as past and present generations have. American School once offered an oceanography course that would have been perfect to feature today, but the course was discontinued several years ago. We are always looking to have the best curriculum of accredited middle school courses and accredited high school courses, and that sometimes means courses are added or discontinued based on a number of factors, including interest and availability of course materials. If you have a course you’d like us to offer, let us know. We do our best to accommodate such requests. For now, however, if you wish to learn more about oceans, we recommend you take our environmental science course. It’s available in print or online format and would be a good addition to your accredited high school program or independent study high school program. Dive right in and enroll today. You’ll be glad you did!
