We conclude our three-part series of blogs discussing the differences between the progress report, the transcript and the diploma by focusing on the diploma. A diploma, which is available for high school only, is a certificate showing completion of our accredited high school program. It includes your name, your graduation date, the School seal and signatures of School leadership. It does not include what classes you took or whether or not you enrolled in our general high school program or college preparatory program when you decided to earn a high school diploma at home with American School. Sometimes schools or businesses will ask for proof of high school graduation, and in many cases showing a copy of your accredited high school diploma will suffice. If you need a copy of your high school diploma, you may order one, and if a copy of your diploma does not suffice, you may order an official transcript instead. More information is available on our FAQ page. Thank you for reading this series of blogs. We hope you’ve found them useful and have a better understanding of what document you should ask for when you contact us for assistance with a particular situation. We are happy to serve you!
