We continue our three-part series of blogs discussing the differences between the progress report, the transcript and the diploma by focusing on the transcript. There are two types of transcripts—unofficial and official. Both contain the same information, but the official transcript contains the School seal and is the version preferred by schools. Transcripts contain detailed information about completed courses, which means that print and online middle school courses and print and online high school courses which are still in progress will not have grades reported on transcripts. We offer printed and electronic transcripts for modest fees, and information on ordering both is available on our FAQ page. Transcripts are the most detailed record of student progress and achievement, which is why so many schools, including American School, require official ones before enrolling a student if a student wishes to transfer credit from one school to another or if a student wishes to gain admission into a college or university after completing a high school program. Thank you for your understanding, and please come back tomorrow to learn more about diplomas.
