It’s May 20, and today is World Bee Day. This special occasion has to do with actual buzzing bees, but today’s blog is going to talk about a different kind of bee. You’ve probably heard of spelling bees, which are competitions in which people will spell words letter by letter until words are spelled incorrectly and a champion is crowned. When American School added Spelling to our list of high school correspondence courses, we put a cartoon bee on the cover of the textbook as a humorous tribute to spelling bees. Spelling words incorrectly on a regular basis, however, is no laughing matter. That is why we recommend homeschooling students who struggle with spelling take our Spelling course. The course contains tips for becoming a better speller as well as tips for becoming more familiar with grammar and vocabulary that will serve students well in the future. Come see what all the buzz is about and enroll with American School today. We look forward to being your distance learning high school!
