Today’s blog has an important update about our Rosetta Stone courses. As you know, American School regularly reviews our accredited middle school courses and accredited high school courses and makes changes as needed to best serve our students. We are happy to offer many different world language courses among our online high school courses thanks to our partnership with Rosetta Stone, and we are happy to announce that the number of different languages we offer will remain the same. What will change by September 1, however, is the number of semesters we offer for each language. Rosetta Stone courses are divided into an odd number of levels with two levels being the equivalent of one year of study. Some Rosetta Stone courses have five levels. For these courses, we will offer levels 1 through 4 but not offer level 5. In other words, only the first two years of these world language courses will be available. Other Rosetta Stone courses have three levels. For these courses, we will offer levels 1 and 2 but not offer level 3. In other words, only the first year of these world language courses will be available. A complete listing of course availability may be found on our Rosetta Stone page. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
